While Google's big update did happen - where websites that did not have responsive, mobile-friendly designs were supposed to drop out of search results conducted on smartphones - the update has been a gradual one. Google stated that the update has hit some data centers but not all. If your website is not mobile friendly, it may still be showing up in search results. Yay! But consider this your lucky break as you have more time to make small or large updates to your website.
