We've been keeping our ears to the ground about where to donate for Sandy relief. We wanted to know that our dollars were going directly into the pockets of people impacted. With so many different areas devastated, we weren't sure where to start.
After much consideration, we're taking the approach of directly helping our small business friends in need. Today, we donated to Kiddie Designs after learning of her plight in Hoboken, NJ, to help her find a new studio and get more painting supplies to fulfill her orders. I know my daughter loves the stool that Tracey painted for her, so we want to be sure that she paints a lot more of them. Click here to donate to Tracey's fund, and get her into a new studio.
Next, we're going to be putting together a care package for Mariann at Just Bubbly. We're going to keep her fueled with coffee and batteries, and not just any coffee but good coffee. And a pound of sugar even though she "takes one sugar" when we asked her. Because even if you have nothing, you still have your decency, and deserve a good cup of coffee in the morning.
