You have a Facebook page, and you have fans who signed up to support you, and now you want to send them messages. But Facebook's less-is-more design approach made it hard to find out how to do that. There may be two ways to get here, depending on if you're looking at a most updated version of Facebook.
METHOD 1:
Under the logo of your business page, there is a link called "Edit Page". It is the first link under your logo when you are on your business fan page.
Click "Edit Page"
Scroll a bit and look to the right of your page. Not in the main list of options, but in a smaller list off to the right side. You will see a section called "Promote Your Page". Under that is "Send an Update to Fans".
Click that, and follow the prompts to send an email update to your fans.
METHOD 2:
Go you your business Facebook page, and look in the top left corner.
You'll see your logo, and under it, you'll see a list of links. You should see a link that says "Send an Update to Fans". If you don't see that, it's hiding.
Click on the "More" link at the bottom of that list.
Voila. The rest of the list is revealed to you.
Look for the link that says "Send an Update to Fans".
The next screen you will see is the actual page where you create and send the update from. Do you see that "Target this update" box? Facebook has created the ability for you to limit who gets your update, like if fans from a certain state would appreciate the update. If you want to reach all of your fans, do not click this box.
Where do you your fans receive these updates? Right now, it's housed in the Inbox where you get your Facebook emails.
Happy messaging. And fan us at Tin Shingle if you haven't already!

When I try to attach a link
When I try to attach a link to the message the "Post Link" button doesn't do anything. Am I doing something wrong or is it facebook?

I don't have a "more" option,
I don't have a "more" option, only "Edit Page", "Promote with an ad", and "Suggest to friends"... is there anywhere else I can find this? Thanks!

Hey Kim,
And so Facebook has changed things again. :)
If there is no "More" on your page, there will be (as of today), an "Edit Page" link which is the first link under your logo when you are on your page.
Click "Edit Page"
Scroll a bit and look to the right of your page. Not in the main list of options, but in a smaller list off to the right side. You will see a section called "Promote Your Page". Under that is "Send an Update to Fans".
You should be good to go from there.

Facebook is evil. We tried
Facebook is evil.
We tried sending an update to our fans and NO ONE got it (we checked with several people, but also no response).
We spent thousands on Facebook ads to build our fan base.
They will be sued.
