You've been asking for it, BUT, we didn't want to give directions on how to create one because sending a direct message when someone follows you is overkill and could annoy your new follower. The source we recommended was TweetLater, which doesn't seem to exist anymore. We would only recommend creating an automated Direct Message if you have a really, really clever thing to say.
