Jill Frechtman : How did you respond to higher costs for supplies and shipping for Fretzels?
All my costs have gone up, from chocolate, to pretzels and especially shipping. One thing I have done is look at my waste. At the end of the day I have pounds of chocolate and pretzels left over, many are pieces that broke or didn't adhere to the pretzel. To use what I used to throw or give away I am creating two new products, one is a Peppermint Bark for the holidays that I use crunched up pieces in sort of a candy bar, the other I break into tiny pieces for an ice cream topping. Neither of these products cost me any extra to make and they are delicious.
