Don't worry too much about copycat competition, a lot of people have great ideas but it is really about execution. I heard Liz Lange speak at one point about people knocking of her product and she said "They may know what I did yesterday but they don't know what I'll do tomorrow." My husband prefers to quote the Godfather: "Never hate your enemies. It affects your judgment."
