Manic Trout

Manic Trout creates a new intersection in accessories by mixing bold and colorful designs with global sophistication. Playful, but always timeless, the often askew collections are influenced by the ebb and flow of today's modern woman and pays homage to her desire to feel good without taking herself (or her fashion) too seriously. Manic Trout designer Sierra Bailey is dedicated first to her jewelry---then to her faithful clients, whom she inspires to have fun with their style one piece at a time.

It began when Sierra would spend the summers of her youth enthralled with creating piles of friendship bracelets. She first discovered her eye for jewelry design in boarding school when she would take apart vintage jewelry and create colorful masterpieces to brighten up the drab dress code. Manic Trout begun to take form after receiving her BFA when she was wildly inspired by the colorful canvases surrounding her in the galleries and painters studios in which she worked as a young artist. Sierra quickly discovered that her true passion lay in jewelry design, rather than painting and she began Manic Trout. Soon after she designed and launched her first e-commerce site, Sierra was contacted by the local paper for an interview and several magazines quickly followed suit. Manic Trout was not just in business, but booming.

Manic Trout has appeared in over 60 national magazines including WWD, Marie Claire, InSyle, Lucky, Southern Living and Redbook. Sierra has been on ABC World News with David Muir and the local Austin show Studio 512. Speaking of TV, her designs have also been on the popular tv shows Criminal Minds and Gossip Girl, MTV Canada and in a Chanel West Coast music video. Manic Trout has also been featured on the runways of Austin and LA Fashion weeks and a variety of blogs and other media outlets. Manic Trout jewelry is sold at boutiques around the world.
