Are people more likely to "Like" a pretty, branded Facebook page over a plain one?

We did a bit of research on this at Socialbees a while back. We found that the average Facebook page that sends people to the Wall as the default landing tab get 23% of their visitors to become fans (aka click the 'Like' button). When we make custom branded tabs for a Facebook page and make that tab the Home page for the business page, that number generally doubles or more. So, you get a lot more fans from your current visitors, and therefore, a lot more opportunities to communicate with potential new clients and customers, as well as those who already support you.
