Love of Travel

A Bay Area native, Kimberly Schwede is a diverse Graphic Designer and Illustrator in San Francisco with over 15 years of experience. Her resume reads like a bestseller – from being published in Logolicious to creating a logo for the City of South San Francisco to designing a Swatch Watch. Inspiration comes from her love of international travel (21 countries so far), animals, and children. Inspirational travels include a 2012 International Graphic Design Fellowship via Build a Nest for Dutzi in Mexico which sparked Bebe Bilingual and May 2013 was pro bono graphic design and teaching for Art in Tanzania. Illustration clients include Klutz (Division of Scholastic), Running Press, Dover, Frecklebox, Picaboo, Tiny Prints and Minted Stationery, and others. If one can smile with delight at her work, she feels it’s a job well done! When Kimberly isn’t at her MAC designing you can find her running outdoors along the water in San Francisco, or in a bikram yoga class or planning her next adventure abroad.

Language Learning Made Fun

Designer and author Kimberly Schwede has released a series of bilingual children’s products called Bebe Bilingual. A collection of educational tools for children, these interactive products teach colors, numbers, jungle/ocean animals and food in Spanish, French and English. The collection details road trips and vacations, farmers markets and weekly grocery store excursions in addition to zoos and aquariums.  Having access to educational tools that support bilingualism is another avenue of reinforcing different language speaking skills.
